Dental implants have become a more popular option for those wishing to replace missing teeth, yet not all dentists have the specific training, knowledge, experience and expertise to perform this detailed surgical procedure.

One stop Implant clinic: Most dentist are either trained to place implants or to restore implants and so patients ends up going different places to get one implant.

3D Dental xrays (CBCT)

CBCT is 3D images of the mouth and jaw that can be manipulated to better plan for implant placement. They allow us to know more about your anatomy during the planning phase, so that we can perform less invasive procedures.

Who can benefit?

Dental implants can be a smart choice for adults of all ages, whether you were born without a tooth or have had to have teeth removed due to injury, infection or decay. They can also be an option for adolescents, once facial growth and development has been completed. Generally, this occurs around age 16 for girls and age 18 for boys.

The advantages

Here are four important advantages of dental implants, compared to alternatives such as dentures and bridges:

  1. You’ll look and feel great. Dental implants feel, look, fit and function like healthy, natural teeth. They’re so comfortable you don’t have to think about them. You brush and floss them just like you do your natural teeth – no need to remove them for cleaning. They also help you retain your natural face shape and smile.
  2. They’re built to last. Dental implants that are properly cared for can last many decades. Many other options, including certain types of dental bridges and dentures, may need to be replaced as often as every 5 to 10 years, requiring a more significant investment of time and money.
  3. You can live life with confidence. Your dental implants will be secure, so they won’t slip or click when you talk, eat or laugh. You’ll also find that your speech is more natural. With dental implants, you’ll have the peace of mind to eat what you love, say what you want to say, be as active as you want and smile broadly.
  4. They protect facial bone and healthy teeth. Leaving empty spaces in your mouth after losing one or more teeth can lead to health issues such as jawbone deterioration. Dental implants are the only tooth replacement option that actually helps stimulate bone growth and prevent bone loss. Getting dental implants as soon as possible after losing a tooth helps prevent bone loss at the site. Also, dental implants don’t require grinding down adjacent teeth to anchor bridges or attach partial dentures.

Pricing facts and figures

You might be surprised how affordable dental implants are compared to other tooth replacement options, especially when you take into account long-term cost effectiveness and quality of life.

Think about it: most people use their teeth 3 times a day to chew their diet, multiply that by 365 days, multiple that by number of years before you die! Assuming you still got at least 20 years to leave that number might be more than 20000 meals that you going to get from these implants!

This is counting just functional benefits of it and not even considering added benefits of self-confidence you get, since you can chew food better, your digestive system improves as well. Again, it’s hard to put a price tag on these kind of benefits.

The total cost depends on several different factors, including how many teeth need replacing and where they’re located, the number and type of implants, and whether any additional procedures are necessary to prepare your mouth for the implants.

Since dental implant treatments are customized for your specific needs, the costs vary accordingly. An evaluation by an experienced dental implant expert is the best way to ensure that you are getting an accurate cost estimate for quality work.

If you see ads for dental implants with low prices that seem too good to be true – well, you know what they say. And if someone quotes you a price for dental implants without examining you, be wary.

Insurance coverage and payment options

Most insurances have annual maximum set at $1000-$1500 since 1970’s! which limits insurance benefits towards implants. Implants usually starts from $3000/tooth and fees go up depending on complexity of case.

Recognizing the long-term benefits of dental implants over other tooth replacement options, an increasing number of insurance companies have started to provide at least some coverage. If your company does not offer this coverage, ask them if you can receive an allowance toward implants that is equal to the cost of a bridge or traditional dentures.

Most of our patients either pay all fees up front or take advantages of our four months payment plans or apply for Care-Credit to take advantage of longer payment plans.

The true cost of alternatives

At first glance, dentures or removable bridges can appear much less expensive than dental implants, given their lower upfront costs. However, the full cost – both financial and emotional – of these options can run much higher than dental implants, for several reasons:

  • Initial costs vs. total costs. The initial price you pay doesn’t include the cost of replacing your dentures or bridges, which may be necessary as often as every 5 to 15 years. It also doesn’t include the ongoing maintenance costs, such as fixatives and adhesives.
  • The convenience costs. Unlike your natural teeth or dental implants, you need to remove your dentures to soak and brush them, which can be a time-consuming hassle.
  • The health costs. Without a tooth or implant, your jawbone will begin to deteriorate, which can change your facial appearance.
  • The social costs. Dentures can slip or click when you chew, laugh, talk or kiss.

From a purely financial perspective, dental implants are cost-competitive with other tooth replacement options over the long term. And when you also factor in quality of life and long-term oral health, dental implants clearly rank as the higher-value alternative.

It’s rare to receive a thorough and sincere visit to medical professionals, but I have found the anomaly with this office. The office was pristine and clean. The technology they used did not feel like your average dentist office. Quick appointment response time for confirmation and multiple ways to remind a busy person. I was greeted warmly when I entered the office. My “assistant” was/is phenomenal. The dentist was emotionally intelligent and did not go further than what I was comfortable with. A pleasant experience is almost too simple of a phrase to describe what my experience was. It is couture to patients who don’t feel pushed to do everything all at once, happy employees which means they also feel valued, and their patience are what makes them unique. Finally thank you Starla for the smiles and laughs, Dr. Wichita for your gentleness, the assistant who provided technical assistance, and to my ROCKSTAR dental assistant, she was a peaceful advocate for feeling comfort and providing a beautiful experience from the time I was called back for my exam until my final departure. Then she double downed and did a follow up call the following day. I found a gem and I am here to stay!

Courtney was so gentle and caring while cleaning my teeth! I barely felt it and had no discomfort after! I will definitely be seeing her again in 6 months! Dr Wicheta explained everything step by step that I needed to take care of and put my fears at ease! I would give them more than 5 stars if I could!!!
